She/they
I am a clinician social worker committed to partnering with her clients to meet their goals. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach in which you are the expert in your own life. In sessions, I encourage clients to bring their authentic selves and infuse humor and creativity to help create a comfortable, connected environment.
I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in various settings such as community-based services, partial hospitalization, outpatient programs, and sexual violence response and prevention organizations. I utilize CBT, DBT, the Liberation Health model, EMDR, and IFS in the treatment of depression, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. I’m especially committed to working with people of color, immigrants, and LGBTQIA+ clients who may be seeking a provider with an understanding of how systemic oppression impacts their mental health.
As a 1.5-generation Nepali-American immigrant, my interest in the mental health field sparked due to noticing the gap in providers from my communities. I am committed to providing a therapeutic space where Asian Americans don’t have to choose between quality mental health care and feeling seen in their cultural identities.
